Deepak Dev, a native of Kerala, was raised in Dubai and completed his schooling in the Indian High School, Dubai.

Music has always been in his blood line. His father, Devraj, and mother, Asha Dev, are singers, though not professionals. Devraj and Asha are settled in Dubai. Both parents have played a major role in nurturing Deepak’s passion and love for music. Deepak’s younger brother, Dixit Dev, is one of the youngest, yet talented and very competitive business men in the corporate industry, and is the CEO of D Group Companies, India. Deepak believes that his family’s blessings, support, endeavors, and encouragement have always given him the strength to achieve success and become what he is today. 

Deepak, who has had hands on composing several successful romantic melodies, was also successful in transforming his love life into a melody-filled married life with his love Mrs. Smitha Deepak Dev. Their love-life blossomed during their college years in the Sacred Heart's College, Cochin, where Smitha was Deepak’s junior. The couple has now located their base to Chennai, where they now live happily with their two daughters, Devika Deepak Dev and Pallavi Deepak Dev.
